Cinematic DSLR Video
Canon started the DSLR video revolution with the introduction of the EOS 5D Mark II in 2008. That camera stunned filmmakers with its ability to stunning shallow depth of field using superior optics and a large, full-frame sensor. That camera was no slouch in low light, either. Subsequent professional DSLRs from Canon were even better. The EOS 7D brought more video-centric features to market upon its release and the current 5D Mark III made significant improvements to the already well-respected Mark II.
Since then, Canon continued to launch innovative cinema and DSLR cameras with advanced video capabilities. Other companies also began supplying innovative cameras to the market as well.
We have largely standardized on Canon professional imaging technologies, and currently shoot in both HD and 4K with the following cameras:

Broadcast Spec HD
DSLR video is popular, but often there is no substitute for a professional video camera. For Visual Imaging Solutions, Behreandt Visuals uses the Canon XF300 professional video camera. Offering 3-chip CMOS native high definition shooting, the highly configurable XF300 records HD video internally using MPEG2, 50 Mbps internal recording. This makes the XF300 a high quality and flexible solution for true, high-definition video capture. The XF300 also features built-in ND filters and a host of advanced configurability options making it suitable for almost any shooting situation.
Beyond 4K
For extremely demanding capture situations or when higher than 4K resolution is required, we offer capture using the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K with Canon EF mount. This camera is capable of capturing 6K resolution in Black Magic Raw format.
Professional Audio Recording
The XF300 and Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera feature dual XLR inputs and on-board recording of high-quality audio. We usually capture audio through these XLR ports using RODE microphones, most commonly the NTG3. This shotgun microphone can be mounted on-camera for "run-and-gun" shooting situations, or can be boom-mounted for the ultimate in audio quality for interviews. We also offer event and other audio capture using wireless lavalier microphone solutions from both RODE and DJI. No matter how great a video looks, its effectiveness can be ruined by bad audio. Visual Imaging Solutions offers the right equipment for the job, making sure that crystal clear video is matched with crystal clear audio.
